(b) Age Limit: (i) For Engineering Graduates -20 to 27 yrs (Born between 02 Jul 85 to 01 Jul 92).
(ii) For AEC - 23 to 27 yrs (Born between 02 Jul 85 to 01 Jul 89).
(iii) For Military Farms - 20 to 27 yrs(Born between 02 Jul 85 to 01 Jul 92).

(c) Educational Qualification: (i) For Engineers. Candidates studying in the Final Year of Engineering Degree and who are qualified graduates of the Degree Course in Engineering will be eligible to apply. The qualified graduates of the Degree Course must possess Engineering Degree at the time of joining training. The candidates studying in the final year of Degree Course, if not already in possession of the Degree Certificate
should be able to produce the Engineering Degree within 12 weeks from the date of commencement of training at IMA. Such candidates will be inducted for training at IMA on Additional Bond Basis for recovery of the cost of training as notified from time to time as well as stipend and pay & allowances paid, in case they fail to produce the requisite degree certificate.
(ii) For Army Education Corps. MA/M.Sc Degree in 1st or 2nd division from a university recognized by AIU in English/Economics/History/
Music/ Geography/Political Science / Physics & Math . (iii) For Military Farm . A degree in dairying or a degree in Agriculture from a recognized university with dairying as one of the subjects or an equivalent foreign qualification in Agriculture (Preference will be given to those
who hold M.Sc degree or have carried out research in Dairying of Fodder Crops) (AI 105/61).
2. CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY
(a) Nationality: A candidate must either be (i) a citizen of India or (ii) a subject of Nepal or (iii) a subject of Bhutan or (iv) Tibetan origin but of Indian domicile, whose parents entered India as refugees prior to 1st January 1962 with intention of Permanently settling in India. (v) a person of Indian origin who migrated from
Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and East African countries like Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambi, Malawai, Zaire, Ethopia and Vietnam with the intention of Permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. Certificate of eligibility will however not be necessary in the case of candidate who are Gorkhas subject of Nepal.
(b) Candidates withdrawn from IMA/OTA/Naval Academy/Air Force Academy on disciplinary ground are not eligible to apply.
(c) Physical Standards:
(i) Height & Weight: The minimum acceptable height and weight for men is 157.5 cms with correlated weight. In case of candidates belonging to the North East and hilly areas like Gorkhas, Nepalese, Assamese and Garhwalis, the height will be relaxed by 5 cms and weight commensurate with reduced height. In case of candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum acceptable height can be reduced by 2cms.
(ii) Visual Standards: The minimum acceptable visual acuity are: Distant vision (corrected) better eye 6/6, worse 6/18, Myopia of not more than minus 3.5 including Astigmation. Candidates who have undergone or have evidence for having undergone Radial Karatotomy to improve the visual acuity will be permanently rejected.
Candidates who have undergone Lasik Surgery for Correction of reflective error are NOT acceptable.
(iii) To be passed fit, a candidate must be in good physical and mental health free from any disability likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duty.
3. METHOD OF SELECTION:
(a) Shortlisting of Applications and SSB Interviews: Army Headquarters reserves the right to shorlist applications and to fix cutoff percentage of marks without assigning any reason. Initial checking of applications will be done at Additional Directorate General Recruiting, Army Hqs. Only shorlisted eligible candidates depending on aggregate percentage of marks scored will be called for and assessed under aegis
of Selection Centres, namely Allahabad (UP), Bhopal (MP) and Bangalore (Karnataka) by Psychologist, Group Testing Officer and Interviewing Officer. Candidates will not be interviewed locally. Allotment of Selection Centre is at the discretion of Army Headquarters and no requests of changes are entertained in this regard.
(b) Two Stage Selection Procedure: Two stage selection procedure based on Psychological Aptitude Test is held at Selection Centres. All the candidates will face stage one test on first day of reporting at Selection Centres. The candidates who qualify in stage one will be admitted to the second stage/remaining tests. Those who fail to pass stage one will be returned on the same date.
(c) MERIT LIST: IT IS TO BE NOTED THAT MERE QUALIFYING AT THE SSB INTERVIEW DOES NOT CONFIRM FINAL SELECTION. A MERIT LIST IS PREPARED FOR EVERY QUALIFICATION SUBJECT SEPARATELY PURELY ON THE BASIS OF MARKS OBTAINED BY THE CANDIDATES AT SSB’S AND AS SUCH HIGHER EDUCATIONAL, PREVIOUS PERFORMANCES, NCC BACKGROUND ETC HAVE NO ROLE TO PLAY. THOSE HIGH IN THE MERIT LIST AND WHO COME WITHIN THE STIPULATED VACANCIES, AND ARE MEDICALLY FIT ARE ISSUED JOINING INSTRUCTION FOR PRECOMMISSIONING TRAINING.
(d) The merit list of the recommended candidates will be displayed at the reception of ADG RTG and Indian Army Website i.e. www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
Candidates, who do not figure in Merit List of TGC, may be offered SSC(T) for which fresh merit list will be drawn after merging the merit with the merit list of SSC(T).
4. MEDICAL EXAMINATION: A candidate recommended by the Service Selection Board will undergo a medical examination by a Board of Service Medical Officers.
The proceedings of the Medical Board are confidential and will not be divulged to anyone. However, candidates declared unfit by the Special Medical Board (SMB) will be intimated by the president of the Medical Board. The procedure for request for Appeal Medical Board (AMB) will also be intimated to the candidates. Unfit candidates should report for AMB within a maximum period of 42 days. Candidates are advised in their own interest to appear for AMB well in time and should not wait for the last date given by the SMB. Candidates are advised to note that Recruiting Directorate has no role to play in Appeal Medical Boards and procedure advised by the medical authorities is strictly to be adhered to. Candidates declared unfit by AMB will be intimated by the President, AMB about procedure to challenging the finding of AMB

Applications are invited from candidates for recruitment of Religious Teachers in the Army as Junior Commissioned Officer for RRT 68 & 69 course. Religious Teachers preach religious scriptures to troops and conduct various rituals at Regimental/Unit religious institutions.
Their duties also include attending funerals, ministering to the sick in hospitals, reading prayers with the convalescents, visiting soldiers undergoing sentence, giving special religious instructions to the children and enlisted boys besides attending generally to the religious instruction and welfare of the Officers, Soldiers and their families.

(b) Educational & Language Qualifications: The Minimum educational qualifications according to the religious denomination of the individuals are as under :-
(i) PANDIT : Hindu Candidates with minimum educational qualification of graduation in any discipline from a recognized university. In addition candidate must also be qualified Madhyama in Sanskrit or Bhushan in Hindi or equivalent standard. Those who have passed BA with Sanskrit / Hindi as one of the elective (Main) subjects but have not done Madhyam in Sanskrit or Bhushan in Hindi are also eligible
Note : For Indian domicile Gorkha candidates applying for the post of Pandit the minimum educational qualification for appointment will be same as 2 (b) (i) above. For Nepalese domicile Gorkha candidates applying for the post of Pandit the minimum educational qualification for appointment will be as under:-
(aa) BA with Sanskrit/Hindi as one of the elective (main) subjects but have not done Madhyama in Sanskrit or Bhushan in Hindi.
OR
(ab) Graduation/Post Graduation in Sanskrit from any recognized university of Nepal.
(ac) Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university with Madhyama in Sanskrit or Bhushan in Hindi or equivalent standard in the regional language concerned.
(ii) GRANTHI : Sikh Candidates with minimum educational qualification of graduation in any discipline from a recognized university. In addition candidate must also be qualified as Vidwan or equivalent standard in Punjabi. Those who have passed BA with Punjabi as one of the elective (Main) subject but have not done
Vidwan in Punjabi are also eligible.
(iii) MAULVI : Muslim Candidates with the minimum educational qualification of graduation in any discipline from a recognized university. In addition candidate must also be qualified as Maulvi Alim in Urdu / Adam Alim in Urdu or equivalent standard.
Those who have passed BA with Arabic / Urdu as one of the elective (Main) subject but have not done Maulvi Alim in Urdu / Adam Alim in Urdu are also eligible.
(iv) PADRE : Christian Candidates with the minimum educational qualification of graduation from a recognized university. In addition candidates should have been ordained priesthood by the appropriate ecclesiastical authority and is still on the approved list of the local Bishop.
(v) BODH MONK : Budhist Candidates with the minimum educational qualification is 10 + 2 or its equivalent. Those who have been ordained Buddhist Monk/ Buddhist Priest by the head Priest should be in possession of Geshe (Ph.D) of Khampa or Lopon or Rajban with certificate from the Monastery by the appropriate authority. The term appropriate authority means Head Priest of the Monastery where the person has been initiated into Priesthood .
Note : For candidates applying for remustering in any of the categories above the minimum qualification will be 10+2.
(c) Culture: Candidates should belong to the culture of the appropriate religious denomination and religious qualification acceptable to the troops.
(d) Medical Standard: A candidate should have robust physique and mental health, chest should be well developed having minimum 5 cm. expansion, should have normal hearing with each ear. Should have sufficient number of natural healthy gum and teeth, i.e. 14 dental points. Should not have diseases like deformity of bones, hydrocele, varicose veins or piles. Candidates may contact nearest recruiting office / zones given in Para 7 of the advertisement for existing rules on medical standards.
(e) Physical Standards: Minimum Physical Standards (i) Height – 160 cm (ii) Weight - 50 Kg. (iii) Chest -77 cm. (iv) Physical Fitness Tests (PFT) -candidate should be able to run one mile in eight minutes.

(d) The screened candidates will be put through written examination which will be conducted on 26 Feb 2012 and will comprise of two papers as follows :-
PAPER I : (Maximum Marks -100). This will contain objective type questions on general awareness and will be common to candidates of all Religious denominations.
PAPER II : (Miximum Marks -100). This will test the knowledge specific to particular religious denominations to which the candidate belongs. The paper may be answered in English or Hindi.
Note : Only those candidates who qualify in Paper I by securing a minimum mark of
40 out of the total of 100 marks will be allowed to appear in Paper – II.
(e) Candidates allowed to appear in Paper II are required to secure a minimum of 40 marks out of the total of 100 marks to be eligible for short listing for the purpose of determination of merit for appearing in the interview. The number of candidates to be called for interview will be fixed at a maximum of 3 time the number of vacancies. Only those candidates who come in the merit will be interviewed by a board of officers at nominated Regimental Centre. The interview will be of 100 marks.
(f) Candidates are required to secure a minimum of 50 marks of the total marks of 100 to qualify in the interview.
(g) The final selection will be done by a different board of officer out of the merit list drawn on the basis of the marks obtained in Paper II and Interview.
(h) Candidates finally selected will be enrolled as JCO (RT) and will undergo six weeks training at Regimental Centre followed by eleven weeks training at Institute of National Integration, Pune.
(j) Rejection can take place at any stage during training also.


(a) Appointment: On successful completion of training the candidates will be commissioned as Religious Teachers in the rank of Naib Subedar.
(b) Promotion: All JCOs (Religious Teachers) will become eligible for paid acting promotion to the rank of Subedar/Risaldar on completion of at least 10 years service as a religious teachers.
(c) Pay, Allowances and Perks: The JCO (RT) will be placed at the minimum pay scale of Rs. 9300-34800. In addition they will be entitled to DA, free accommodation, entitled ration for self, uniform, free medical and leave travel concession for self, family, and dependents, canteen facilities and other allowances as admissible to the regular Army.
(d) Retirement : Normal age of superannuation for JCO (RT) in the rank of Subedar/will be 57 years. A Subedar major (RT) will retire on completion of 4 years of service as Subedar Major or 57 years of age, whichever is earlier.

Applications are invited from male candidates for recruitment to the post of Surveryor Automated Cartographer (Svy Auto Carto) in the Army as Havildars in the Corps of Engineers.
Total Number of Vacancies. A total of 15 (Fifteen) vacancies will be filled in.

ELGIBILITY -
Age Limit 20 to 25 years as on First day of Recruitment Rally. Candidates are requested to contact nearest recruiting office/Zone for date of recruitment Rally.3. Educational Qualification The minimum educational qualification for appointment will be BA/ BSc with Mathematics, having passed 12th class (10+2) or equivalent with Science and Mathematics as main subjects from a Recognised Board / University.

4.Medical Standards The candidate should have robust physique and be of sound mental health. Chest should be well developed having minimum 5 cm expansion. The candidate should have normal hearing with each ear, have sufficient number of natural teeth, i.e.14 dental points and healthy gums and should not have diseases like deformity of bones, hydrocele, varicose veins or piles. The candidate should be in medical category SHAPE-1 in terms of Special Army Order 6/S/2005/Rtg dated 05 Aug 2005 as amended from time to time.

5.Minimum Physical Standards Minimum physical standards will be as applicable to the Soldier General Duty category and these vary depending upon the region of the country. The country has been divided into six regions, e.g. Western Himalayan Region , Eastern Himalayan Region, Western Plains Region, Eastern Plains Region, Central Region and Southern Region.

6.Procedure of Selection
(a) The recruitment will be effected through all the HQ Recruiting Zones, IRO, Delhi Cantt and Gorkha Recruiting Depot, Kunraghat, Gorakhpur (UP). The candidates may apply at any one of the HQ Recruiting Zones, IRO, Delhi Cantt and Gorkha Recruiting Depot, Kunraghat, Gorakhpur (UP).
(b) Submission of Application Duly filled in application as per the format given in the advertisement be submitted to reach latest by 24 Dec 2011 alongwith the required documents duly superscribed “APPLICATION FOR SURVERYOR AUTOMATED CARTOGRAPHER” on the top outer cover of the envelope to the respective HQ Recruiting Zones / IRO, Delhi Cantt or Gorkha Recruiting Depot, Kunraghat, Gorakhpur (UP) of which the candidate is domicile of and that he has to appear for the written examination from the same HQ Recruiting Zone / IRO, Delhi Cantt and Gorkha Recruiting Depot, Kunraghat, Gorakhpur (UP). Postal Addresses of IRO, Delhi Cantt and Gorkha Recruiting Depot, Kunraghat, Gorakhpur (UP) are given below in Para 12.

(e) Candidates found eligible in all respects will be issued call up letters by the concerned Recruiting offices for initial screening which will include checking of original certificates, physical fitness and medical examinations.
(f) The candidates found eligible after screening will be put through written examination which will be conducted on 26 Feb 2012 and will comprise of two papers as follows Paper Subject

Pay & Allowances. On completion of successful training you will be placed in the Pay Band-1 (Rs 5200-20200) as per 6th Pay Commission. You will also be entitled to Grade Pay (Rs 2800) + Military Service Pay (Rs 2000) + Group ‘X’ Pay (Rs 1400) per month.
11. In addition to the above, liberal pension, promotion prospects, Group Insurance, Army Welfare Housing Scheme, 60 days Annual leave and 30 days Casual Leave, free medical treatment for self, family and dependants, entitled ration and other allowances as admissible to the regular Army.
