AP Forest Department Recruitment Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification for FSO: candidates should have a degree of bachelor in Botany/Forestry/Horticulture/Zoology/Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics/Statistics/Geology/Agriculture or a bachelor degree in Engineering/Chemical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Civil Engineering from a recognized university to apply for AP Forest Department FSO recruitment 2012.
Educational Qualification for FBO: candidates must have a passed degree of Intermediate or equivalent to apply for AP Forest FBO recruitment 2012.
Educational Qualification for BW/PW/Thanadar: applicants must have a passed degree of class 10th or equivalent to apply for forest.ap.nic.in BW/PW/Thanadar recruitment.
Physical Requirements:
Height:
- Male – 163 cms
- Female – 150 cms
Chest in Full Inspiration:
- Male – 84 cms
- Female – 79 cms
Must have chest expansion of not less than 5 cms of full inspiration
5 cms height relaxation for ST candidates
PWD candidates are not eligible
Eyesight should be normal
Age Limit: age of applicants should be 18 years and 30 years (35 years for SC/ST/BC) as on 1st July, 2012.

There are two stages to test the eligibility of candidates for the posts of FSO/FBO/ABO/PW/BW/Thanedar.
Written Test – First Step:
Name of the Paper – Name of the Test – Total Marks
- Paper-I - Essay writing in English or Telugu or Urdu – 20
- Paper-II - General Knowledge – 100
- Paper-III - General Mathematics – 100
Candidates have to secure minimum 35% marks in each paper with an aggregate of 40% in total is required to qualify for the second step.
Question papers will be in English and Telugu only but candidates can write paper in English/Telugu/Urdu.
Second Step:
- Walking for Male – 25 kms in 4 hours
- Walking for Female – 25 kms in 4 hours
