CSIR–Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-CMERI), Durgapur, established in 1958 the apex R&D institute for mechanical engineering under the aegis of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), an Autonomous Body under the Government of India desires to fill up the following Scientific / Technical positions.

Scientists / Sr. Scientist

Number of vacancies : 15 Posts [UR-11, OBC-01, SC-02, ST-01]

Pay Scale :

• Pay for Scientist : Pay Band PB-3 Rs.15,600-39,100 with Grade Pay of Rs.6,600/-
• Pay for Sr. Scientist : Pay Band PB-3 Rs.15,600-39,100 with Grade Pay of Rs.7,600/

Qualifications :

• For Scientist : ME/M.Tech in Chemical Engg./Industrial Metallurgy/Tribology and Surface Engg./Engineering Mechanics/Electrical Engg./Design of Mechanical Equipment/Manufacturing Science / Production Technology.
• For Sr. Scientist : Ph.D in Organic / Inorganic Chemistry with 2 years relevant experience / Ph.D in Computer Science

Sr. Technical Officer (1)

• Number of vacancies : 02 Posts [UR]
• Pay Band : PB-3 Rs.15,600-39,100 with Grade Pay of Rs.5,400/-
• Qualification : B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering or equivalent with two years of experience in relevant area.
